Information for Parents
Membership is open to any person wishing to play netball, coach or manage a netball team or to umpire netball games. Players must be turning 8 to be eligible for the youngest nipper teams. Younger children may take part in Net Set Go! programs run through various schools. Application for Family Membership is made by completing a Player Registration form. This entitles members to one vote per family to be exercised by a person 18 years or over. No membership fee applies If, due to travel, illness or injury, a player will be absent from several games, please advise your team manager. If dates are known in advance, please let the Club's Registrar know of the player's proposed absence as this can impact on the distribution of players and team numbers. Club newsletters are published every playing week. Each issue is collected by Team Managers for distribution at Saturday fixtures. The Downey Park Netball Association has strict rules in regard to uniforms. Players must be in correct uniform during all games. The compulsory components of the Samford Club uniform are:

Uniform items, new & used, can be obtained by contacting the Club Uniform Co-ordinator (Click here for Committee Contact Details) Young Athlete Assistance Program - This Program aims to assist young athletes within Queensland who have competed at a State sporting championship or State school championship. In certain weather conditions, games may be postponed or replayed on the dates set aside for wet weather games as outlined in the Downey Park Association Calendar.On wet weather days, information as to whether the games have been postponed will be available after 9.00 am on the Downey Park website (www.downeypark.netball.asn.au) or to obtain an SMS message, send NET QDOWPNA WET (all in upper case) to 19 787 787.
