Our New Home Ground

Frequently Asked Questions! (4 Sept 09);

When is the top (green) layer being laid?

I have asked why the top layer for the courts has not been laid, as it was scheduled for last week. The project manager has delayed the pour.  As the club house construction is now underway, the site has again become a "construction site" and they were concerned that the dust and dirt would have an effect of the finished product.

Electricity Costs - who pays?

The Tennis Lights and Netball Lights will be on separate metres. With regard to the club house and common areas, a "memorandum of understanding" will be drawn up between the two clubs and the council with regard to electric usage.  The council will facilitate this agreement.

Signage

The council will be producing a "Signage Policy" which will outline what is permissible without having to apply for licences etc.  It will be very concise. If any road signage is required application must be made to the State Government.

There will be no problem with sponsorship signs.

Additional things we may require

If there is anything that the club would like to add to the site over time, application needs to be made to council.  i.e. practise wall, extra shade, extra seating.  Grants can be applied for to help with the costs (now we have grounds we will be entitled to grants that we were previously exempt from).
