Team 6 vs Pheonix
Tue 28 Aug 2012 • Patrica Dwan • Go to the Team PageSaturday, 18 Aug
Team 3 (44) vs Q of A 1 (32)
Sat 18 Aug 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageWoohoo! Here we go to another Grand Final. Congratulations on playing a well controlled game on Saturday, ladies. When the opposition were coming back at us, we didn't panic. We stuck to the game plan of short, safe passing and we ground out a very convincing win. Every team member gave their very best effort and we reaped the reward. Let's do it again on Saturday!
Team 22 vs Canons 21
Sat 18 Aug 2012 • Natalie Stone • Go to the Team PageWhat a fantastic way to end our very first season of netball. The girls played like seasoned netballers. Defending like champions and really sticking with their opposition players. When we were in attack they spread out around the court giving themselves open space to drive to the ball. Great game to all the girls and it has been a pleasure to be your coach this season. I hope that you have all enjoyed playing netball this year and that you will return next season.
Saturday, 11 Aug
Team 3 (43) vs Pine Hills 2 (22)
Sat 11 Aug 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageA good result in the end after a slow start. When we executed our game plan of short passes it worked well and slowed down the opposition's flow. It was the fantastic defense in the goal circle that stopped their great shooters from having first and 2nd chances. A great effort, ladies. Well done! Good luck for the preliminary final this week!
Team 7 (3) vs Arana (29)
Sat 11 Aug 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageThe end of our season for the girls who have improved and developed their game so much!! Today's game didn't exactly showcase our great improvements but the girls had fun as was evident in the giggling and smiling faces out on court. I think all the spectators would agree the girls can be very confident with their positive and resilient attitude this season, always trying their best and working hard even without the results we had hoped for. Well done girls and see you at our break up!! =D
Team 11 (43) vs Raiders (23)
Sat 11 Aug 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageIt was great to finish with a win. It was a little windy but the girls handled the conditions well. Finals start next week so we can't take our foot off the pedal. Keep working hard at training and we will see the results.
Team 17 (9) vs The Gap 34 (5)
Sat 11 Aug 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageTeam 22 vs Canons 21
Sat 11 Aug 2012 • Natalie Stone • Go to the Team PageA great effort by all the girls today. Everyone tried their best with some really great defence and some nice spreading out around the court. With only one game left to our season the girls are starting to look like netballers. Good work girls and keep on enjoying the game.
Saturday, 4 Aug
Team 3 (52) vs Arana 3 (25)
Sat 4 Aug 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageA good result from a game where we stuck to our plan for most of the game - practice the short passing. This resulted in very few turnovers; in fact the least number of turnovers in any of our games. We were able to break free from our defenders quite well. We must remember this for our next few games. This all fell apart in the last quarter, however, where both teams played some fairly scrappy netball. This is something we must work on. Well played yet again, ladies.
Team 6 vs Pine Hills
Sat 4 Aug 2012 • Patrica Dwan • Go to the Team PageTeam 7 (11) vs The Gap (30)
Sat 4 Aug 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageThe girls improved so much this week matching their opposition in the second and third quarters with accurate shooting and great intercepting!! Thanks so much to Jess for coaching the girls this week and from all accounts they were able to communicate and work the ball down the court effectively. Our last game next week, so lets finish off strongly girls!!
Team 8 (24) vs The Gap 15 (26)
Sat 4 Aug 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageThis was a tough game but you all did very well. Pressure was on as we needed to win this game. We were ahead all game but we ran out of steam in last quarter. The beauty of this team, is their team spirit. They always stay positive, supportive of each other and you don't give up. Well done girls, I am so very proud of you all. Let's get them in the Semi's.
Team 11 (19) vs The Gap (22)
Sat 4 Aug 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageIt wasn't the win we wanted but the girls all played their best. I feel confident going into the finals as we only lost by 3 with half the team still recovering from camp and battling sickness. The other teams better look out for us when all the girls are fit and healthy. Well done girls!
Team 13 (7) vs Pine Hills (20)
Sat 4 Aug 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageTeam 14 (21) vs ALL HALLOWS (6)
Sat 4 Aug 2012 • Donna Holliday • Go to the Team PageA great game by everyone today ending in a nice win over All Hallows. Some great defencive work by Maddi and Lily saw some good turnovers, followed by improved passing down the court and again our shooters were able to finish off with some great goals. Congratulations to all of you - we now face semi finals next week. Keep up the team work and keep enjoying our netball!!!GO SAMFORD !!!
Team 17 (8) vs Cannons 18 (4)
Sat 4 Aug 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageTeam 21 vs Raiders
Sat 4 Aug 2012 • Ilsa Sammut • Go to the Team PageTeam Maroon looked like a proper grown up netball team today, not a group of little girls playing only their 11th game EVER. The most pleasing aspect of today's game was not their defence (which was wonderful) or their passing (which was accurate) or their spreading out for the ball (professional!!!), but their LISTENING skills. The girls did exactly what they were asked to do and they played into another level as a result. It is exciting to think that they have two matches left to put all of these skills to the test. Well done girls.
Saturday, 28 Jul
Team 3 (47) vs Raiders (19)
Sat 28 Jul 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageFantastic result, 2 more games to finish the season out strongly and hopefully take that momentum into the finals. It was lovely free following game to watch with excellent defence, quick centre court movement and nice finishing in the goal circle.
Team 4 (20) vs Aspley (39)
Sat 28 Jul 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageWell you got off to such and positive and strong start, it was dissappointing to see the game go the way it did. We need to work harder at being able to withstand being pushed around and also not worry about whether the whistle gets blown or not and just rely on our better netball skills. I'm impressed that you don't get dragged into that particular style of play though ... I firmly believe that cleaner, faster netball is the way to go about winning a netball game !
Team 5 (38) vs Raiders (22)
Sat 28 Jul 2012 • Sandra Finnen • Go to the Team PageWhat a fabulous game. The girls started on fire and the flame never went out. They were hungry for the ball and their confidence grew throughout the game.
Gabi and Emma were brilliant in the goal circle and so accurate. Jess, Lucy, Jess and Hannah covered and intercepted in the mid court with determination and Alyce and Kristen made it very difficult for our opposition to score. They may have beaten us twice before but you certainly outplayed them on Saturday.
Team 7 (8) vs AHS (36)
Sat 28 Jul 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageComing to the end of the season the girls continue to put in 100% effort even though we haven't achieved the results we wanted. Once again the girls' transition play was very competitive against the AHS girls but we just couldn't finish off the play with dropped balls and not getting in front of our players being our downfall this week. Bella, Sanchia and Dani were tireless in defence gaining a lot of rebounds. Caitlin and Pearl worked the ball down the court and tried really hard to create space. Jemima and Jade are developing into a solid combination under the hoop with some terrific passing to split the defenders. Continue to work hard and finish off the season girls!! :)
Team 8 (24) vs Raiders 11 (17)
Sat 28 Jul 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageTeam 9 (11) vs The Gap (17) (30)
Sat 28 Jul 2012 • Kerri Bolton • Go to the Team PageGreat game girls, even though we did not get a win, 100% effort from all even when you played in positions that you normally don't play. A big THANK YOU to Jess and Meg for filling in for us (hope you had fun). Last game next week, let's go out and have a great game and most of all lets have fun
Team 11 (21) vs All Hallows (28)
Sat 28 Jul 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageIt wasn' the result we were after. However, the girls tried their hardest and should be proud of their efforts.
Team 12 (6) vs St Joeys (19)
Sat 28 Jul 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageGood effort girls this week, you improved so much on the last time you played St J's, so well done there ! And you worked really hard on what I was trying to emphasis this week being treasuring the ball. Keep up the good work, keep working hard on coming forward and making space and re-offering and next time the scores will be a lot closer.
Team 13 (7) vs St Margarets (17)

Sunday, 22 Jul
Team 20 vs Gap
Sun 22 Jul 2012 • Sandra Finnen • Go to the Team PageSaturday, 21 Jul
Team 2 (49) vs Valleys (44)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Sharyn McNeil • Go to the Team PageAnother nailbiting game! But yet again the girls "Stepped Up" to the pressure.
Down each quarter till the final 8 mins when their superior fitness and determination to win
came to the fore to see them eclipse a much more experienced & physical side.
Team 3 (46) vs Q of A 1 (28)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageOutstanding, ladies! By the final quarter, everything came together and we gave our strongest performance yet. Zel, Karen and Emily were able to slow the flow of opposition goals through strong defense, intercepts and great rebounds against 2 young and very strong shooters. Sonya, Karen, Marie and Michelle really found their rhythm by using short passes and holding up the passes until players were free, which provided great delivery into our shooters. Bel, Emily and I improved our shooting percentages yet again and are working well together with all player combinations. There were not many times that we didn't convert out centre pass into a goal. It was a really enjoyable match that was played in good spirits. And a very big thank you to Sonya, Downey Park organisers and the hardcourt fairy for providing hardcourts to play on 2 weeks in a row!
Team 4 (15) vs Valleys (39)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageValleys proved to be too much of a challenge this week, with some of our players missing as well. We started strongly enough but their more physical approach endured to run out winners. A big thanks also to Jess and Kristen for filling in for us.
Team 5 (27) vs Valleys (17)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Sandra Finnen • Go to the Team PageWhat a great game. We started strongly and won each quarter. Lucy and Gabi shot well and moved nicely around the circle, Kristen and Alyce defended and intercepted in Valleys goal circle and Jess, Jess, Hannah and Eliza covered the mid court tirelessly. Keep up the good work as we head towards the end of the season.
Team 6 vs AHS10
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Patrica Dwan • Go to the Team PageTeam 7 (15) vs Pine Hills (25)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Penny Henwood • Go to the Team PageA great game, with 15 goals scored, which is our best so far this season. All players put in 100% effort, but we tired a bit by the 4th quarter. The defending was good, and lots of talking and calling for the ball. A big improvement on our goal shooting skills with Jemima and Jade nailing most of their attempts. Despite not feeling well, Caitlin played well in the Goal Keeper position, getting lots of rebounds as did Bella. Well done all round.
Team 8 (17) vs Pine Hills 14 (29)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageTeam 11 (44) vs Q of A (16)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageWhat a great game to watch. The girls worked well as a team with the ball flowing nicely down the court and Eliza and Rachel E. finished it off with some great shooting. Rachael A. had an awesome game this week and was always there to make the intercept. Congratulations on a great game girls, you all played brilliantly.
Team 13 (14) vs Valleys (30)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageThe whole team tried hard for the whole game again. Well done girls your fitness is certianly improving you all ran hard the whole game with no substitues.
Team 14 (25) vs THE GAP 27 (7)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Donna Holliday • Go to the Team PageTeam 15 (7) vs Raiders 16 (8)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageTeam 16 (9) vs Canons 17 (10)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team PageThey were crazy, the game was crazy, their hair was crazy. It was such a great game with the scores being close at all times, the girls put in a great effort trying hard throughout the game. The attack was doing a good job at taking the ball down the court and the defense were being like ninjas turning the ball over. The game ended with Clare shooting a nice goal, right on the hooter. It was a tough competition and the girls played to their best. Well done team, see you at training.
Team 17 (4) vs Valleys 26 (2)
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageTeam 19 vs The Gap
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Kim Edwards • Go to the Team PageThe girls had a high-scoring game against The Gap this week. The girls displayed strong teamwork, improved confidence and quick passes. Our goal shooters worked well as a team in the goal circle with some beautiful goals. All of the girls had fun with the Crazy Hair Day with Miraciah having the craziest hair style. Great job girls!!
Team 20 vs Flugel
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Sandra Finnen • Go to the Team PageI think i am with all the parents on this one when i say what an improvement! I am so proud of the girls with their achievements and all the effort they put into the game! With only seven players there, playing the whole time was certainly unusual to normal but they all did great to keep the energy and the excitement up in the game. Congratulations girls :D
Team 21 vs St Margarets
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Ilsa Sammut • Go to the Team PageWow. Team 21 were awesome today. The tenacious defence of both teams was reflected in the low score. St Margarets had some very good defenders, but the Samford girls were equally good. We excelled at the centre pass and the girls really tried to get around their player and come forward for the ball. Execution of this skill paid off every time. Improvement in passing is evident this week and the girls were rewarded for their deliberate accuracy.
Team 22 vs Flugel 21
Sat 21 Jul 2012 • Natalie Stone • Go to the Team PageFinally after 4 weeks off we were able to get back to playing netball. All the girls put in a great effort today (even those that were sick) and a special mention to Pippa from team 21 for helping us out today - thanks Pippa. The girls all tried really hard with lots of chasing the ball and some really good passing and working the ball into the goal circle. Well done girls keep on trying and enjoying the game.
Saturday, 14 Jul
Team 3 (23) vs Raiders 4 (4)
Sat 14 Jul 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageThis was a tough game for the Raiders as they played the immediate game before this one, so they were not only tired but also down 1 player for the 2nd half. So they were probably very thankful it was just a half-hour game. This was an opportunity for us to practice finding space away from our opposition player and we managed that quite well. Congratulations on another strong win.
Team 3 (33) vs The Gap 4 (34)
Sat 14 Jul 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageThis was a close one - and we almost had them this time! The next time we play them - and we will meet them at some stage in the finals - we should be able to come out on top. All players showed a strong display today - and yet there is still room for improvment. Again our defensive players are outstanding. In attack, we still need to find more space, control our passes and improve the goal-shooting percentages. I hope you all enjoyed the match also because it was played in such good spirits.
Team 4 (54) vs Arana (22)
Sat 14 Jul 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageFantastic result this week ! Even though you were playing the bottom team, I was very impressed with how you all played. You kept at them across the whole court, applied defensive pressure and converted nearly every turnover. There were some great shots by Taylor and Clare, to get over 50 goals is a great effort, especially on the grass courts. Also a big thanks to Katie and Hana for filling in for us !
Team 7 (35) vs Raiders (8)
Sat 14 Jul 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageHuge thanks to Rach and Jess who coached the girls this week due to another clash in game times. Thanks to Abbey for filling in for us it was very much appreciated!! The third quarter seemed to be a standout with positional swaps proving beneficial to the girls' ability to move the ball through court. The girls continue to work hard every week and while the improvements are not yet quite being shown in score lines, they are clearly evident watching the game from the sideline. Keep it up girls :)
Team 8 (35) vs Cannons 13 (9)
Sat 14 Jul 2012 • Kylie Conway • Go to the Team PageWhat a fantastic win. All of your hard work and training was on display today. You all tried your hardest right through to the final hooter and never tired. The BIG thank you to Eliza for filling in, you had a brilliant game! We're on the countdown to the finals and it's wonderful to see you all playing so well together.
Team 11 (23) vs Pine Hills (20)
Sat 14 Jul 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageA big thank you this week to Glenn and Donna for looking after the girls at the game due to the coach being away. It was hot and humid but the girls hung in there to continue their winning streak. Keep it up girls!
Team 13 (2) vs The Gap (35)
Sat 14 Jul 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageTeam 14 (4) vs PINE HILLS (12)
Sat 14 Jul 2012 • Donna Holliday • Go to the Team PageTeam 16 (4) vs Gap 31 (17)
Sat 14 Jul 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team PageThe girls had a very shaky start, with only 6 girls on the court. The first half they were not confident with themselves and it affected there playing, however after we scored our first goal the team spirits lifted and they started playing really well. In the third quarter the girls did an amazing job, the defense keep the opposition to only scoring 1 goal and our attacks did an awesome job getting the ball down to the shooters, letting Brittany shot 3 goals. Well done girls, you put in a great effort and kept your heads up, we hope to see you all at training.

Team 13 (10) vs Peonix (56)
Mon 25 Jun 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageSaturday, 23 Jun
Team 3 (17) vs Pine Hills2 (3)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageIt was unfortunate that the opposition team conceded after only the first quarter, so we didn't get to play much of the game. But the fun match we played instead was fantastic! Thank you to everyone for hanging around to have some fun. Hope you all enjoy your 2 week break.
Team 4 (26) vs The Gap (36)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageThe Gap got away to a flier, but after the first quarter you matched them goal for goal, well done, it was great to see you keep your heads up and kept improving as the game went on.
Team 6 vs Canons 9
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Patrica Dwan • Go to the Team PageTeam 7 (6) vs Arana (20)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageI think everyone definitely felt the effects of the beginning of holidays today. We were slow to start with and never quite hit our stride. We had plenty of opportunities thanks to great work in defence but our transition play needs a bit of work. Can I suggest more than 4 hours of sleep before a netball game girls? See you all at training.
Team 8 (21) vs AHS 20 (19)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageWhere do all these very tall 13 year old girls come from!! Yet again our opposition were very, very tall girls but this didn't stop us. Anna and Megan had very tall orders to fill when they came up against the AHS defence who even the Coach (me) was looking up at them, but they moved around them like they weren't even there and got in some great shots. Alyssa and Cassidy....YEAH!!!!! you intercepted AND you held onto the ball instead of throwing it away as soon as it touched your hands, great work. Ali, you leap like a Gazelle some absolutely fantastic intercepts. To our defence Sophie and Indi you both just keep getting better and better, the defence is so tight that the opposition have very little choice of position when they actually do get the ball. Congratulations to our player of the Match, Indi, your were like the Ever Ready Bunny, you just kept going. Lastly, a very BIG THANK YOU!!! :o) to Scott for taking the team for training on Tuesday while I was away, very much appreciated.
Team 11 (46) vs Raiders (16)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageA few of the girls tried some new positions this week and did a great job. Rachel tried her hand at goal keeper and made some great intercepts. Sarah had a go at goal attack and did well for her first time. Eliza wanted to give wing defence a go and did an amazing job. Jess went to centre and performed well both in attack and defence. It is great to see all the girls in the team continuing to enhance their skills and play well. Keep it up!
Team 14 (25) vs Valleys 22 (10)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Donna Holliday • Go to the Team PageGreat game girls !!! With no reserves we had to dig hard all game. Some great intercepts all the way down the court from Lily and Maddi in the circle, Annika, Eilie and Georgia Browne in the mid court followed by some great work around the circle and good shooting by Ellie and Ricci. POW Georgia Browne - keep up the good work!!
Team 15 (8) vs Phoenix (15)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Katherine Gray • Go to the Team PageOur girls gave their all today with the bare 7 and a HUGE thanks to Emily from team 16 for helping us out and playing for our team. Emily was fantastic as we shuffled her around the court in a few positions but she was great so thanks for filling in.Bella, Georgina and Jess had a tough go as our goalies against a very tall opposing player but they got a couple through. Sian was unleashed out into the court as our GD and she was amazing! As always Taylor was unstoppable even when she injured her ankle and very much earned our player of the match. Gretel bounced around in her usual style plenty of intercepting and support up and down the court. Keep up the good work girls and have a rest over the holidays. Have a safe and happy holiday with your families everyone and thanks to our parents for their continued support.
Team 16 (17) vs AHS (1)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team Page
Wow, the girls did an amazing job this week! We were
slightly nervous before the game started, because we were missing our shooters,
yet the awesome nipper fill ins did an awesome job. Emma and Nicola did a great
job in defence and pulled in many rebounds and doing the turn and block.
Rebecca did a great job pulling in loose balls and intercepts. Ruby and Afton
did an awesome job together in attack, and were driving forward for the ball
and took the ball down to the shooters. Thank you to the awesome nippers that
filled in and thank you to Emily who filled in for Team 14. We hope you have
nice holidays and we will see you after the break.
Team 17 (4) vs AHS 31 (4)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageThis was a really hard game with a lot of rough play from the opposition. They were a tough team and last time we played them we lost. It just shows how much our girls have improved, because we drew the game this week. Player of the match today was awarded to the player that found the most space and was always there .... Harriet.

Team 3 (49) vs Arana 3 (12)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageWow, what a strong display and our first win in the new division. We know now that we are in the division we should be in. This is the strongest our defence has been and is continuing to improve each week. Our mid-court work was much improved as well, with all players finding space. It was great to see our shooting average improve as well. Keep up the training, ladies, because our strong fitness is paying great dividends. Well done on a great win in a fun and friendly match.
Team 4 (43) vs All Hallows 4 (34)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Joanne O'Brien • Go to the Team PageWhat a great game team 4. It was a storming third quarter and everyone held it together in the final quarter to bring home a great win. There was some great intercepts, good passing and the shooters made the most of their opportunities. Let's keep working hard and more wins will come. Well done girls!
Team 5 (26) vs pine hills (24)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Sandra Finnen • Go to the Team PageWell done girls!! What great work and commitment you displayed at midday on a hot day. With no reserves you all played brilliantly. Jess, Lucy and Emma shot well with Jess, Eliza, Jess and Lucy covering the mid court with gusto and Alyce and Kristen defending the circle in style. Keep up the good work for next week.
Team 7 (8) vs The Gap (34)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageA big thank-you to Karyn for coaching the girls this week. From all accounts the girls worked hard each quarter and improved throughout the game and had fun trying out new positions. Thanks to the wonderful girls who helped us out by filling in for our injured/sick players. Hopefully next week we continue to improve and become increasingly competitive against the other teams.
Team 8 (27) vs The Gap 16 (24)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageThey wanted it and they got it. This was netball at it's best. Indi and Sophie are working superbly together as defence, they are talking to each other, they are jumping like little joey's for rebounds and you just don't give your opposition any position, great to watch. Cassidy and Alyssa the way the two of you intercept the oppositions passes is just magical to watch, if only now we can get you to hold on to the ball a little longer there is just no stopping the two of you. Ali in centre, the way you stare at your partner and never take your eye off the ball is fantastic. Anna and Megan THE shooters where nothing short of brilliant, they both moved around the circle like they were skating on ice, wonderful to watch. Great, Great Game.
Team 11 (17) vs The Gap (10)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageThis week the girls came out firing. They worked hard all game and didn't let the heat slow them down. Hana and Jess both had an outstanding game by making it very difficult for the opposition to score. It was great to see the girls working well as a team and digging deep to produce another win. Great work girls!
Team 13 (12) vs St Joesephs (18)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageWhat a great game we played this week. It was our highest score ever. Well done girls.
We showed that we can play as a team. Holly's passes were the best they have been all season. Meg was everywhere. Lauren was in space giving options when they were needed (I don't think she dropped a pass). Andenique and Isa showed that they could play at both ends of the court (they both scored goals). Tatum was again reliable under the hoop. Mikaylah and Serena gave it to the opposition in defence and Jess was very good in the middle(attack and defence). Aweesome work, if I had been sitting down I would have been on the edge of my seat.
Team 15 (7) vs Canons (8)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Katherine Gray • Go to the Team PageWow! Such a close game I, as were our parents, so impressed with how well the girls have improved passing and intercepting was exceptional and our passing down the court was so fluent. Bella had some amazing shots at goal, Georgina also making a big improvement in the circle. Jess shifted into defence and she was fantastic. Emma still giving it her all even feeling under the weather! Our mid court were excellent, Gretel, Cara and Taylor never giving up and supporting all the way down the court. Keep up the good work girls!
Team 16 (3) vs Aspley 16 (8)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team PageWe got off to a bit of a slow start, but in the second quarter we found our feet and held the other team back. In the third and forth quarter we just kept on trying and stopped the opposition from scoring too many more goals. It was a good effort girls, keep up the good work and see you at training.
Team 17 (10) vs Pine Hills 21 (8)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageAnother really good game from our girls. Everyone did a great job of sticking to their player and defending, running to position, and there were lots of examples of the girls finding the space. Player of the day this week goes to OIivia Crew as she is the most improved player. She did a great job of sticking to her player. Well done girls.

Girls you played so well today spreading the ball around the court and working together as a team. Jace and Georgia both did a fantastic job at Center with great intercepts and passing. Caitlyn and Ingrid were everywhere as Wing Attacks. Great defence and passing of the ball down the court by Eloise, Halle and Matisse. Ruby stuck to here player like glue today. And Maya had her eye in and scored some great goals in the goal circle. Very impressed and proud of you all, keep up the great work.

Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageWe were all ready for the opposition but the weather had other ideas and the game was washed out before it even began.
Team 4 (26) vs Raiders (27)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageIt was a good effort from the team this week and you played really well for most of the match and if the game had not been interrupted by the rain I'm sure you would have pulled off the win. There was some good passing and shooting this week backed up by some solid defence and sharp intercepts. With a little more tweaking and refining the team's play will flow with more consistency across the court. Keep up the good work !!

The girls must of got some great inspiration from meeting the QLD Firebirds.
Team 10 (22) vs The Gap (19) (4)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Belinda Whitehead • Go to the Team PageWell done girls, this was such a lovely game to watch. Your passing and positioning was fantastic and your defence was amazing, with so many intercepts and picking up the loose balls. Everyone played exceptionally well. Great game - I hope Vipers are ready for us! :-)
Team 11 (20) vs All Hallows (14)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageAnother fanastic win by the girls under wet and slippery conditions. We had two of our regular girls away this week which meant it was always going to be tough but the girls rose to the occasion. A big thank you to Shakira for filling in for us. This week a special mention must go to Kirsty who played GD and GK for the first time and did an amazing job. I would also like to congratulate Abbey for staying composed against a very forceful opponent. Congratulations again to all the girls, you are all stars.
Team 12 (12) vs Aspley (10)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Jennifer Cox • Go to the Team PageWOW! What a brilliant win by the girls. Aspley made us work very hard for our victory. We were down by about 4 goals at half time but our team just kept on fighting back. Brilliant work by Millie, Calista and Annabel with some superb intercepts and strong mid court work. Millie certainly played one of her strongest games today. Calista took on the role of centre and just played brilliantly. And once Annabel stopped being so hard on herself, had a blinder of a game. As usual, outstanding defence by Wayde and Eilish - you two work really well as a team. Keep up the good work you two! And our shooters Olivia and Charlee-Jo never missed a chance to have a go for a goal, which paid off. Nice shooting Rex! Well done girls, we are all very proud of you. Thanks to Jo who scores for us every week and who was the lucky recipient of walking through the guard of honour to finally be able to return the scorecard to the control desk! And thanks to Olivia's dad for the lucky chair!!! Remember girls, never give up,try really hard and you will be rewarded. Thank you for turning a gloomy Saturday into rays of sunshine.
Team 13 (10) vs Valleys (26)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageThere were more good efforts this week. Mikaylah and Andenique were very commited in defense. Tatum and Isa worked well together in the goals with Tatum our leading goal scorer. Training is paying off, you certainly played better than last week.
Team 14 (21) vs Valleys 23 (14)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Donna Holliday • Go to the Team PageWell done girls!!! A great win by all. Some great turnovers in the third quarter by Maddi, Eilie, Ricci and Georgia saw the game turn around. There was some great team work throughout whole game. Keep up the good work ! POW - Ricci
Team 15 (2) vs Q of A 9 (7)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageThe conditions were very slippery today. Bella was the star player, getting some really good intercepts and shooting lots of goals that really should have gone in. We struggled to feed the ball into the goal circle today, and the girls did a lot of stepping, probably because the court was very slippery. We are definitely improving.
Team 16 (9) vs The Gap (11)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team Page
What a great effort girls this week against the Gap. A nail
bitter to the end, the Gap were smothering in defence and pulled off some
really good passes, so we'll need to work on making/finding space and driving
forward on to the ball to be a little more competitive next time we play them.
You all kept trying and working so hard throughout the whole game right to the
final hooter, in defence and in bringing the ball down the court, it certainly
was a nail bitter girls and really good to see some flow in your passes.
Enjoy your sleep in this Saturday with the long weekend and see you all
training :)
Team 17 (10) vs The Gap 35 (4)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageWe had very slippery conditions today, but despite this, everyone played really well. It was a great game from all the girls. Maddie was the most consistent player today as she always had her eye on the ball, so she was awarded player of the match. The carnival on Sunday has made a big difference to your playing girls, well done.

Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Natalie Stone • Go to the Team PageA great game was played by all the girls today in the wet and slippery conditions. Today your use of shoulder passing enabled you to spread out more around the court which meant that you were able to get the ball down the court easier. There was some great defence and attack from all of you. Keep up the great work and keep on enjoying yourselves.

Team 3 (17) vs Q of A (35)
Sat 26 May 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageThis was our second game in the next division and some of the team are wishing they are back in the old Comp ... Our opponents this week were younger, fitter and taller, I was confident in being able to match them but we are need to believe that and just play smarter. It might take us a few more games to adjust but I'm sure we'll get there.
Team 4 (19) vs Pine Hills (35)
Sat 26 May 2012 • Joanne O'Brien • Go to the Team PageIt was a much improved performance from Team 4 this week. Claire took some great steals and Tenille is really finding her rythmn in defense. Bethany, Molly and Sarah did a good job of bring the ball down the court and Rach had a great game at WD. Clare and Taylor combined well in the goal circle but more accuracy needed girls. We just need to improve our focus on attacking the ball and keeping possession.

Sat 26 May 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageUp against a much taller and well-drilled team was a tough ask for our six girls this week but they continued to work all game. Our attack has improved so much since the last game and we are definitely finding our goalers a lot easier. Thanks so much to Anna for playing!! You did great even against people double your height!! See you at training :)
Team 8 vs Vipers 3
Sat 26 May 2012 • Kylie Conway • Go to the Team PageThe whole team played a brilliant game against a very fierce opposition. Despite the score line you didn't give up and kept playing hard right until the final whistle. This sportsmanship is a credit to you all and to your fabulous coach Zelinda. Keep up the great work girls. It is always a pleasure to watch you play.
Team 11 (40) vs Q of A (19)
Sat 26 May 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageWe mixed things up a bit this week and moved a few girls around. This meant it took a little while for the girls to find their groove but once they did they took off. Our shooters did well against the tall defenders and the number of intercepts this week was outstanding. Remember hard work at training pays off each week in the game.
Team 13 (6) vs Pine Hills (6)
Sat 26 May 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageWell done girls, our second draw of the season. We were so close to a win, looks like we will have to wait another week.

Sat 26 May 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team Page
WOW! We started
the game with 6 players on the court, we were all nervous to see how the game
would turn out, however once the girls started they did an amazing job and they
are improving so much. Thanks you so much to the awesome nipper fill ins. The defense
were like ninjas today doing an awesome job. The shooters did a really good job;
they communicated to each other and moved around together in the circle nicely.
The attack was fabulous, they were coming forward (yay!) and there was a lot less
stepping! well done girls. Keep up the amazing job at training and in the
games.
Team 17 (9) vs Canons 18 (2)
Sat 26 May 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageAnother really good game from our girls. It was really hard awarding player of the day this week because everyone played really well. Emma did a great job of intercepting the ball in the goal circle and Tia shot some great goals, especially a couple of really good long shots. Which is why they were both awarded player of the match. Harriet did a great job of finding the open space and you all worked really well at coming forward.

Well polished opposition, could quite catch them....maybe next time.
Team 3 (21) vs The Gap 4 (28)
Sat 19 May 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageThis was a hard fought match for us, made even more difficult by playing on grass. It was a great introduction to the higher standard of play in Division 5. We need to focus on finding our space as we move the ball down the mid-court, minimising errors and, of course, to improve our shooting accuracy. Our defence was the strongest part of our game. Our thoughts are with you, Karen, hoping you will heal fast and make a speedy return. Congratulations, ladies, on playing strong and in good spirits.
Team 4 (12) vs Aspley 8 (51)
Sat 19 May 2012 • Joanne O'Brien • Go to the Team PageIt took quite a while for the first goal to be scored but unfortunately once Aspley started to score they were very hard to stop. Our shooters came under extraordinary pressure from much bigger players. As always Team 4 showed great team spirit and supported each other well. We need more focus on strong passes and treasuring the ball especially against teams that attack aggressively. Keep working hard girls, it is great to see you continuing to play positively.

Sat 19 May 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageIt was another really hard game but our girls tried hard. Sian got some good tips in the goal area and Cara made some good intercepts and got a lot of loose balls. We fought really hard, but in the end they were a much better team than us.
Team 17 (9) vs Raiders 18 (20)
Sat 19 May 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team Page
This was a
really hard game for our girls. There was some excellent shooting from Maddie.
Lucy did a lot of chasing loose balls, and played really hard all game. Which is why she deserved player of the match
this week. Our passing was good, and we
got a lot of good intercepts. But in the end, Raiders were just a little bit
better than us.
Team 19 vs ST Josephs 5
Sat 19 May 2012 • Tracey Churchill • Go to the Team Page
It was an evenly matched and high-scoring game this week against St. Joseph's. The girls all played well with some noticeable improvements in moving the ball up the court, some quick ball passing and strong defending. Our player of the match this week was Amber, who displayed great speed on the court. Every week the girls are improving, growing in confidence and developing a strong team spirit.
Team 22 vs Phoenix 17

Everybody stepped up this game. Came out strong from the first whistle and left Valleys trying to catch up all game. Team-work at its best!
Team 3 (24) vs Aspley 6 (6)
Sat 12 May 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageThis was a great win over the 2nd placed team on the ladder. Our 2nd half was exceptionally strong, as our fitness allowed us to play strong through the mid-court and increase our defense, keeping the opposition to just 1 goal. Belinda showed a lot of patience with the strong defence against her. Karen O and Marie just played our of their skins! Well played everyone!
Team 4 (12) vs Valleys (27)
Sat 12 May 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageUnfortunately there is quite a disparitty in this Inter's divison and whilst the team played really well in the previous game, the same plan came unstuck against the bigger, stronger and leading team of the division. It was good to see you all kept your heads up and put more pressure on their attack in the second half, we will however need to improve our drive for the ball and apply more pressure to create a closer contest next time we play them.
Team 6 vs AHS10

Sat 12 May 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageWow girls I think we need to have that hour break every week. You girls completely turned it around this game and came out firing!! The score doesn't really do the game justice as you girls were in there for the first half. Jemima, Dani and Pearl were tireless in defence. Bella and Jade shot with such confidence and continue to grow on their partnership. Caitie and Sanchia you girls worked the ball really well and I even saw some effective dodges!! One very happy coach girls! You all are improving week to week and that's all I can ask for :)
Team 7 (1) vs AHS (24)
Sat 12 May 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageWe took quite a while to warm into this game girls but you eventually clicked into gear. Once again our defence all the way down the court continues to improve and impress, it's just our passes and getting in front of players which we still need to work on. Great work pushing through the last quarter with only 6 girls on court and you continued to work until the final whistle.
Team 8 (19) vs Phoenix 8 (4)
Sat 12 May 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageGame 2: It was hard to believe, but you did even better than the first game. Great team work, you all knew where you all were so we lost very little possession and what we did loose you picked up very quickly. Really a great game to watch, thanks Girls!
Team 8 (13) vs Pine Hills (8)
Sat 12 May 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageGame 1. It's all coming together now, you all played exceptionally well. Combination of Megan and Anna in shooting was great to watch, you both knew where you were and you backed each other up very well, a big hooray for Anna whose defense was well over a head and a half taller than you, but you were able to move around her like a sleek cat. Ali, great work keeping the ball moving down court with some exceptional intercepts by you Cassidy and Alyssa. Sophie, you can jump!! Great work from you, keeping your eyes on your partner and on the ball not easy but you were doing a great job of it. A very BIG thank you to Hannah who filled in for us, you played a fantastic game.
Team 11 (17) vs The Gap (15)
Sat 12 May 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageCongratulations girls! You played your hearts out. It was hot and your opposition were tough but to your credit you came back from 5 down at half time to produce an outstanding win. It was amazing to watch you all dig deep and fight your way back. I am so proud of you all. Keep working hard and you will continue to succeed.
Team 11 (25) vs Raiders (12)
Sat 12 May 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageWhat an awesome game to watch. Hana and Eliza combined well in the circle both shooting some great shots. Kirsty, Sarah and Rachel E. all tried out positions they haven't played before or for a very long time and rose to the occasion. Jess and Abbey were outstanding in defence. Great job girls!
Team 13 (3) vs Valleys (14)
Sat 12 May 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageGood game by the girls. The Valleys girls were the better team on the day. We had a lot of chances but did not quite turn them in to goals. We did show a lot of fight considering that we were a couple of team members down. Defence was very good against the Valleys tall timber.
Well done team 13.

Wow! We had a great start to the game by scoring the only
goal, and then the defense did an amazing
Job, never letting the opposition score. It was nail biting on the sideline in
the last 15s hoping the defense will pull though, not letting the opposition score
even one goal. Well girls, keep up the hard work at training.
Team 16 (3) vs Canons 17 (4)
Sat 12 May 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team Page
It was an interesting game, as we started the game off slowly. In the second half the girls turned the game
around and they outscored the opposition 3 to 1, the defense really shut them down, unfortunately it was not quite enough to get them over the line but they played very well all the same. Well done girls!
Team 17 (9) vs Valleys 26 (6)
Sat 12 May 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageOur girls did a lot of bunching the 1st quarter, but after some stern words from coach during the break, the girls started to spread out. Dani played really well this week especially when she had a stint at her favourite position center, which is why she was awarded player of the match. Emma and Maddie did an excellent job or working together in the goal circle and managed to score lots of goals between them. Our defence worked really well this week especially Lillian in the WD position.

Sat 12 May 2012 • Ilsa Sammut • Go to the Team PageThe wonderful Team 21 put in another superb effort on Saturday. Despite the sweltering heat the girls played a very competitive game with many of their developing skills coming to the fore. The girls are really starting to gel as a team and are really getting the hang of passing and intercepting the ball. Their shooting skills were also good this week. It is pleasing to see how they are remembering their positions on the court, witnessed by only a few instances of offside. Congratulations on a great game Mighty Maroons!

We managed to get in front in the 3rd quarter but they equalled us by the end. Well done girls for keeping up the pressure and playing hard for the whole game.
Team 3 (51) vs The Gap 5 (5)
Sat 21 Apr 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageCongratulations on another strong win, ladies, where we met our set targets for the match - including minimising errors. It's amazing how different those goal rings are to those on the inside courts and how much they affected our shooting accuracy - but we eventually adjusted. Our defense was exceptional and still becoming stronger with each game. This game gave us the opportunity to really work on breaking away from our defending player and moving the ball smoothly down the court, resulting in some outstanding mid-court play. Well done, ladies!

Team 10 (6) vs The Gap 18 (29)
Sat 21 Apr 2012 • Belinda Whitehead • Go to the Team PageWhat a tough game! You will did so well to stay positive.
We thought this game would be a tough one and we were right! We did have moments
of brilliance, but unfortunately just not often enough, but I've seen the
brilliance in weeks prior so I know it's there! This game gave us an
opportunity to also try out some different positions and the girls played well
and tried out a few new things. Well done.

Team 11 (27) vs All Hallows School (9)
Sat 21 Apr 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageOnce again the girls showed us what they are made of. They started off slow however as the day warmed up so did the girls. Proving they have the stamina to give it their all even when it is hot and they are tired. Keep it up and remember everyone needs to practice shooting.
Team 12 (2) vs The Gap (12)
Sat 21 Apr 2012 • Jennifer Cox • Go to the Team PageI honestly don't know how these girls kept going in the heat as they really felt it today. It was only during the 2nd quarter where the opposition scored the majority of their goals. Wayde, Eilish and Olivia showed some really awesome defense yet again. Our passing and attacking let us down strongly today. Overall the girls remained positive and it showed in their resilience to fight back and keep The Gap at bay!
Team 13 (6) vs Phoenix (35)
Sat 21 Apr 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageIt was another great effort, against a really tough opponent. There were some good signs of improvment accross the court today. The girls also stepped up when their team mates were injured in what turned out to be quite a physical encounter. Team 13 were not intimidated by the pysicallity or the score and kept trying hard right to the end. Well done girls!!!

Well done girls you are improving each week and you put on a really riveting game today, in very hot conditions. Our girls tried really hard and it was great to have Sian in the team. Her defending in the goal circle was outstanding. Jess shot an amazing goal from just inside the goal circle. Emma and Taylor were great at intercepting the ball and Cara again showed that she owns WD.
Team 16 (5) vs Flugel 9 (7)
Sat 21 Apr 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team Page
It was our first game with our full team and it was a rough
game, but the girls played well, only losing by 2. The defense played extremely
well, stopping the opposition from shooting too many goals. The teams skills are improving and they are now
defending over the ball and there is a lot less stepping. In the fourth quarter
the girls started getting tired and coming forward was a major problem, but the
girls did well and held up strong. Great effort girls!
Team 17 (6) vs All Hallows 31 (9)
Sat 21 Apr 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team Page
How big were those AHS girls! Lillian’s partner was twice her size but it didn’t stop her from trying, which is why she deserved player of the match. Olivia and Harriet paired up really well in the goal circle. Maddie and Danielle did a great job of feeding the ball into them. Sinead was great at picking up the loose balls. Tia did a great job of making sure she was available for the passes.

I think every girl is now getting into the spirit and realising just how fun netball is! All your netball skills are certainly improving and that was evident by the way you all played today. Looking forward to our next game!!!
Team 21 vs St Joseph's
Sat 21 Apr 2012 • Ilsa Sammut • Go to the Team PageEven though we looked suitably wacky in our crazy socks,it was a very HOT day at the office today and we played against a well drilled team in St Joseph's. The girls tried a new skill today; sticking to our player - with some very pleasing results. Our passing was up to its usual high standard and the girls are cooperating well together on court. Well done Team 21, you put in a mighty effort under difficult conditions.
Team 22 vs Valleys 33
Sat 21 Apr 2012 • Natalie Stone • Go to the Team PageWow what a fantastic game girls. The best I have seen you play. You all played such a brilliant game. Great defence and great attack work. You all worked really well as a team. Congratulations and keep up the good work.

Team 3 (51) vs Valleys 5 (8)
Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageA very impressive effort, ladies. Following a reminder from our coach to keep the pressure on and play hard, we did exactly that and the score tells the whole story. We were very strong in defense again, the mid-field play is becoming much smoother and the shooters all improved throughout the match. Congratulations on playing a strong game in good spirits and showing what we are capable of.
Team 4 (15) vs All Hallows (29)
Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Joanne O'Brien • Go to the Team PageIt was hard work under difficult conditions on Saturday with the rain making the court very slippery. Team 4 rallied well after a slow start and everyone made a contibution to the team effort. It was a very impressive debut from Claire Lack who was supported in her first game by the other Clare. Taylor and Rach put in some great shots under pressure while Jess, Sarah and Beth fought strongly in the mid court. A little more self-belief needed Team 4. You can do it!

Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageAnother very tough opponent today with conditions not the best. Thanks to Jess and Caitlin for filling in this week. Girls your defence is great and you got some great intercepts, we just need to work on our transition play down the court. Keep your heads up. See you all at training.
Team 8 (10) vs The Gap 16 (21)
Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageThere must be something in the water at The Gap! Our opposition towered over us in both goal circles. This proved difficult for our goalies to put more points on the board and also for our defence to stop The Gap. The match was filled with fabulous intercepts across the whole court. Our fantastic attacking play and the girl's consistent determination made for a great match which the girls should be very proud of despite the loss.
Team 10 (16) vs Vipers (15)
Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Belinda Whitehead • Go to the Team PageGirls, girls, girls ..... the supporters have no nails left! This game was the opposite of last week, much tougher defence and attack, rain, a little bit of sun and very slippery, cool conditions. I'm not sure how you pulled off a win, but some stunning play in the last 5 minutes of the game (literally) provided us with the last lucky goal within seconds of the final hooter. Congratulations, a very exciting game. I can't wait for next week! :-) Belinda
Team 11 (60) vs Q of A (7)
Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageWhat a sensational game to watch. The girls worked well in all areas. They gave it everything from the first to the final whistle. Keep up the fanastic teamwork!
Team 12 (13) vs All Hallows (3)
Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Jennifer Cox • Go to the Team PageExcellent game by the girls this weekend. Some very strong defence by Wayde, Shakira, & Olivia kept All Hallows limited to 3 goals. Great support in our centre court by Annabel, Eilish & Calista to get the ball back into our goal area. Well done to our shooters Charlee-Jo, Millie, Olivia & Eilish who were very accurate this week. Despite the score, it was still a very tough game. We are working well as a team. We have a few areas yet to improve on but we are well on our way to challenging the Firebirds! Well done ladies!
Team 13 (4) vs St Josephs (16)
Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageWe had a tough game against St Josephs this week, who were the better team on the day. There were some positive signs throughout the match as team 13 started to gel. We learnt a lot from the game and are looking forward to next weeks game. Well done girls!

Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageOur fist game with an almost full team. Well at least we had enough girls on court for all the positions. And the girls played really well as a team. Bella and Jessica did a great job at shooting. Emma made lots of intercepts, and Gretel was everywhere. A good game to watch, well done girls.

Congratulation on another big win girl’s .You started the game
strong, and tried extremely hard. In the rain the girls slipped around on the
grass but it did not greatly affect their game. The girls struggled in the
third and fourth quarter but they pulled through wining by three. Thank you to Maddie
and Olivia for filling in on such short notice. Keep up the good work girls.
Team 18 vs The Gap
Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Georgia Lawry • Go to the Team PageIn last week's game the girls were short a few of players and still played exceptionally well with Harriet and Tia filling in, so thankyou very much to them.Holly as always was great defending and was fantastic when shooting for the first time. Katherine and Georgia work great together in the circle and both shooting with accuracy. Chloe and Faith did great in mid-court which helped their teammates at both ends. While Meg had great hands while defending in the circle! All the girls work together so well and are starting to create an amazing team!!

Sat 14 Apr 2012 • Ilsa Sammut • Go to the Team PageAnother superb performance today from the mighty Maroons. There was no sign of those post easter egg blues and even in the horrible rain the girls shone through. A big thank you to Maya who played TWO WHOLE games - she shot the goal of the season much to the crowd's enjoyment; she's small, but she's mighty. Abbey and Ruby did another sterling job to combine in goals; these two really know how to work the goal circle. Congratulations to Aalia who played her first game today - she intercepted plenty of passes and looked like she has played netball all her life. Ellie was awesome as centre and really concentrated on her passes which were accurate every time. Milla was everywhere and assisted her team mates to get the ball down the court. She was part of a wonderful passage that saw SIX PASSES from our team. It was exciting stuff. The powerhouse of the team today was Pippa who did not stand still once. She defended like a demon and was very committed to each pass. Congratulations on a wonderful game today girls, your red frog lollies were a well deserved reward.

Sat 31 Mar 2012 • Sharyn McNeil • Go to the Team PageHot! and with No reserves to call on, we had to dig deep.
Got our act to-gether by the 3rd quater, with no goals scored by the oppostion.
Aggressive, effective defence down one end and out of the box shooting down the other, we came home strong
to a conviencing win.
Great confidence boost for the start of the season!
Team 3 (33) vs Phoenix (8)
Sat 31 Mar 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageFantastic Result Ladies and what a great start to the season. The hardworking defence never let up and the mid court kept suppling the shooters with opportunities to score. From the first quarter you had them on the ropes and kept them there for the rest of the game. Keep it up !
Team 4 (28) vs Raiders (17)
Sat 31 Mar 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageWell done Team 4 ! You started well and finished the last quarter strongly. Jess and Clare had them well contained in defence, whilst Rach and Taylor kept shooting under pressure, even with uneven hoops and into the afternoon sun. Sarah, Molly and Beth did a great job through the mid court with sensible passing and some excellent defensive pressure. Good start to the season.

Sat 31 Mar 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageWith only six of our actual players and a very tall opposition the girls continued to improve throughout the game. Our defence was great, just those couple of loose passes we need to work on. Thank-you so much to Rachael Archer who filled in and played a great game. You all kept working till the last whistle and we can only improve from here! Enjoy your holidays girls.
Team 8 (18) vs Q of A 5 (15)
Sat 31 Mar 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageHow impressive were you all. The opposition were taller and bigger than them but Team 8 rang rings around them. Anna you did some very impressive shooting and you did your best after you were injured, great determination and heart shown by you. Alyssa you opened up the circle and were able to get the ball in so that you and Anna could get those goals, well done. Megan and Ali, WOW, the way you guys found the space and intercepted so many passes was wonderful to watch and Cassidy, for someone who hasn't played before you aced it on Saturday. Sophie and Indi showed alot of guts and determination, not much got passed you in defense and what did, you got back with rebounds. A job really well done girls.

Sat 31 Mar 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageWOW! WOW! WOW! You girls are fantastic. Team Blue did an absolutely wonderful job on Saturday, you spread out when the ball was yours, you defended the position and you chased every single loose ball like they were the last Easter Eggs left on earth. Great shooting from Tia and Sinead, fantastic intercepts by Lillian, Emma and Lucy. Olivia found the space and Harriet and Madi were just the best sticky defence, not much got past them. Really well done girls it was a joy to watch.

Ruby and Mila combined in goals in the first quarter and started as they meant to go on with terrific shooting and passing. Abbey was everywhere around the court and Pippa was a powerhouse of energy and enthusiasm. When Carys came on she was fantastic in defence and intercepted plenty of passes. Samantha and Jennifer showed their potential with good anticipation and moving around to get the ball. Chloe was marvelous at moving down the court to create space and used her height to her advantage. Ellie did a wonderful job in defence and was always waiting for the next pass onto her teammates. We were all very proud of their efforts. This is going to be a very exciting season indeed.

Sat 31 Mar 2012 • Natalie Stone • Go to the Team PageWhat a fantastic start to our first ever netball season. For girls that have never played a game of netball before they sure showed some skills and talent. The girls had a fantastic game and displayed the skills that they have been learning at our training sessions. Not only that, they were having fun and enjoying themselves.
Well done "Roses". Looking forward to our next game.
