Team 3 (17) vs Pine Hills2 (3)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageIt was unfortunate that the opposition team conceded after only the first quarter, so we didn't get to play much of the game. But the fun match we played instead was fantastic! Thank you to everyone for hanging around to have some fun. Hope you all enjoy your 2 week break.
Team 4 (26) vs The Gap (36)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageThe Gap got away to a flier, but after the first quarter you matched them goal for goal, well done, it was great to see you keep your heads up and kept improving as the game went on.
Team 6 vs Canons 9
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Patrica Dwan • Go to the Team PageTeam 7 (6) vs Arana (20)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageI think everyone definitely felt the effects of the beginning of holidays today. We were slow to start with and never quite hit our stride. We had plenty of opportunities thanks to great work in defence but our transition play needs a bit of work. Can I suggest more than 4 hours of sleep before a netball game girls? See you all at training.
Team 8 (21) vs AHS 20 (19)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageWhere do all these very tall 13 year old girls come from!! Yet again our opposition were very, very tall girls but this didn't stop us. Anna and Megan had very tall orders to fill when they came up against the AHS defence who even the Coach (me) was looking up at them, but they moved around them like they weren't even there and got in some great shots. Alyssa and Cassidy....YEAH!!!!! you intercepted AND you held onto the ball instead of throwing it away as soon as it touched your hands, great work. Ali, you leap like a Gazelle some absolutely fantastic intercepts. To our defence Sophie and Indi you both just keep getting better and better, the defence is so tight that the opposition have very little choice of position when they actually do get the ball. Congratulations to our player of the Match, Indi, your were like the Ever Ready Bunny, you just kept going. Lastly, a very BIG THANK YOU!!! :o) to Scott for taking the team for training on Tuesday while I was away, very much appreciated.
Team 11 (46) vs Raiders (16)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageA few of the girls tried some new positions this week and did a great job. Rachel tried her hand at goal keeper and made some great intercepts. Sarah had a go at goal attack and did well for her first time. Eliza wanted to give wing defence a go and did an amazing job. Jess went to centre and performed well both in attack and defence. It is great to see all the girls in the team continuing to enhance their skills and play well. Keep it up!
Team 14 (25) vs Valleys 22 (10)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Donna Holliday • Go to the Team PageGreat game girls !!! With no reserves we had to dig hard all game. Some great intercepts all the way down the court from Lily and Maddi in the circle, Annika, Eilie and Georgia Browne in the mid court followed by some great work around the circle and good shooting by Ellie and Ricci. POW Georgia Browne - keep up the good work!!
Team 15 (8) vs Phoenix (15)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Katherine Gray • Go to the Team PageOur girls gave their all today with the bare 7 and a HUGE thanks to Emily from team 16 for helping us out and playing for our team. Emily was fantastic as we shuffled her around the court in a few positions but she was great so thanks for filling in.Bella, Georgina and Jess had a tough go as our goalies against a very tall opposing player but they got a couple through. Sian was unleashed out into the court as our GD and she was amazing! As always Taylor was unstoppable even when she injured her ankle and very much earned our player of the match. Gretel bounced around in her usual style plenty of intercepting and support up and down the court. Keep up the good work girls and have a rest over the holidays. Have a safe and happy holiday with your families everyone and thanks to our parents for their continued support.
Team 16 (17) vs AHS (1)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team Page
Wow, the girls did an amazing job this week! We were
slightly nervous before the game started, because we were missing our shooters,
yet the awesome nipper fill ins did an awesome job. Emma and Nicola did a great
job in defence and pulled in many rebounds and doing the turn and block.
Rebecca did a great job pulling in loose balls and intercepts. Ruby and Afton
did an awesome job together in attack, and were driving forward for the ball
and took the ball down to the shooters. Thank you to the awesome nippers that
filled in and thank you to Emily who filled in for Team 14. We hope you have
nice holidays and we will see you after the break.
Team 17 (4) vs AHS 31 (4)
Sat 23 Jun 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageThis was a really hard game with a lot of rough play from the opposition. They were a tough team and last time we played them we lost. It just shows how much our girls have improved, because we drew the game this week. Player of the match today was awarded to the player that found the most space and was always there .... Harriet.

Team 3 (49) vs Arana 3 (12)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Ruth Lee • Go to the Team PageWow, what a strong display and our first win in the new division. We know now that we are in the division we should be in. This is the strongest our defence has been and is continuing to improve each week. Our mid-court work was much improved as well, with all players finding space. It was great to see our shooting average improve as well. Keep up the training, ladies, because our strong fitness is paying great dividends. Well done on a great win in a fun and friendly match.
Team 4 (43) vs All Hallows 4 (34)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Joanne O'Brien • Go to the Team PageWhat a great game team 4. It was a storming third quarter and everyone held it together in the final quarter to bring home a great win. There was some great intercepts, good passing and the shooters made the most of their opportunities. Let's keep working hard and more wins will come. Well done girls!
Team 5 (26) vs pine hills (24)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Sandra Finnen • Go to the Team PageWell done girls!! What great work and commitment you displayed at midday on a hot day. With no reserves you all played brilliantly. Jess, Lucy and Emma shot well with Jess, Eliza, Jess and Lucy covering the mid court with gusto and Alyce and Kristen defending the circle in style. Keep up the good work for next week.
Team 7 (8) vs The Gap (34)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Emily Palmer • Go to the Team PageA big thank-you to Karyn for coaching the girls this week. From all accounts the girls worked hard each quarter and improved throughout the game and had fun trying out new positions. Thanks to the wonderful girls who helped us out by filling in for our injured/sick players. Hopefully next week we continue to improve and become increasingly competitive against the other teams.
Team 8 (27) vs The Gap 16 (24)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Zelinda Chaffey • Go to the Team PageThey wanted it and they got it. This was netball at it's best. Indi and Sophie are working superbly together as defence, they are talking to each other, they are jumping like little joey's for rebounds and you just don't give your opposition any position, great to watch. Cassidy and Alyssa the way the two of you intercept the oppositions passes is just magical to watch, if only now we can get you to hold on to the ball a little longer there is just no stopping the two of you. Ali in centre, the way you stare at your partner and never take your eye off the ball is fantastic. Anna and Megan THE shooters where nothing short of brilliant, they both moved around the circle like they were skating on ice, wonderful to watch. Great, Great Game.
Team 11 (17) vs The Gap (10)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageThis week the girls came out firing. They worked hard all game and didn't let the heat slow them down. Hana and Jess both had an outstanding game by making it very difficult for the opposition to score. It was great to see the girls working well as a team and digging deep to produce another win. Great work girls!
Team 13 (12) vs St Joesephs (18)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageWhat a great game we played this week. It was our highest score ever. Well done girls.
We showed that we can play as a team. Holly's passes were the best they have been all season. Meg was everywhere. Lauren was in space giving options when they were needed (I don't think she dropped a pass). Andenique and Isa showed that they could play at both ends of the court (they both scored goals). Tatum was again reliable under the hoop. Mikaylah and Serena gave it to the opposition in defence and Jess was very good in the middle(attack and defence). Aweesome work, if I had been sitting down I would have been on the edge of my seat.
Team 15 (7) vs Canons (8)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Katherine Gray • Go to the Team PageWow! Such a close game I, as were our parents, so impressed with how well the girls have improved passing and intercepting was exceptional and our passing down the court was so fluent. Bella had some amazing shots at goal, Georgina also making a big improvement in the circle. Jess shifted into defence and she was fantastic. Emma still giving it her all even feeling under the weather! Our mid court were excellent, Gretel, Cara and Taylor never giving up and supporting all the way down the court. Keep up the good work girls!
Team 16 (3) vs Aspley 16 (8)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team PageWe got off to a bit of a slow start, but in the second quarter we found our feet and held the other team back. In the third and forth quarter we just kept on trying and stopped the opposition from scoring too many more goals. It was a good effort girls, keep up the good work and see you at training.
Team 17 (10) vs Pine Hills 21 (8)
Sat 16 Jun 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageAnother really good game from our girls. Everyone did a great job of sticking to their player and defending, running to position, and there were lots of examples of the girls finding the space. Player of the day this week goes to OIivia Crew as she is the most improved player. She did a great job of sticking to her player. Well done girls.

Girls you played so well today spreading the ball around the court and working together as a team. Jace and Georgia both did a fantastic job at Center with great intercepts and passing. Caitlyn and Ingrid were everywhere as Wing Attacks. Great defence and passing of the ball down the court by Eloise, Halle and Matisse. Ruby stuck to here player like glue today. And Maya had her eye in and scored some great goals in the goal circle. Very impressed and proud of you all, keep up the great work.

Team 3 (0) vs The Rain (0)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageWe were all ready for the opposition but the weather had other ideas and the game was washed out before it even began.
Team 4 (26) vs Raiders (27)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Scott Grieve • Go to the Team PageIt was a good effort from the team this week and you played really well for most of the match and if the game had not been interrupted by the rain I'm sure you would have pulled off the win. There was some good passing and shooting this week backed up by some solid defence and sharp intercepts. With a little more tweaking and refining the team's play will flow with more consistency across the court. Keep up the good work !!
Team 6 vs AHS9
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Patrica Dwan • Go to the Team PageTeam 9 (16) vs All Hallows (13)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Kerri Bolton • Go to the Team PageGreat game today girls, nice and close. Some great down the court attack. Once again great effort in defence.
The girls must of got some great inspiration from meeting the QLD Firebirds.
Team 10 (22) vs The Gap (19) (4)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Belinda Whitehead • Go to the Team PageWell done girls, this was such a lovely game to watch. Your passing and positioning was fantastic and your defence was amazing, with so many intercepts and picking up the loose balls. Everyone played exceptionally well. Great game - I hope Vipers are ready for us! :-)
Team 11 (20) vs All Hallows (14)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Shakira Brunjes • Go to the Team PageAnother fanastic win by the girls under wet and slippery conditions. We had two of our regular girls away this week which meant it was always going to be tough but the girls rose to the occasion. A big thank you to Shakira for filling in for us. This week a special mention must go to Kirsty who played GD and GK for the first time and did an amazing job. I would also like to congratulate Abbey for staying composed against a very forceful opponent. Congratulations again to all the girls, you are all stars.
Team 12 (12) vs Aspley (10)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Jennifer Cox • Go to the Team PageWOW! What a brilliant win by the girls. Aspley made us work very hard for our victory. We were down by about 4 goals at half time but our team just kept on fighting back. Brilliant work by Millie, Calista and Annabel with some superb intercepts and strong mid court work. Millie certainly played one of her strongest games today. Calista took on the role of centre and just played brilliantly. And once Annabel stopped being so hard on herself, had a blinder of a game. As usual, outstanding defence by Wayde and Eilish - you two work really well as a team. Keep up the good work you two! And our shooters Olivia and Charlee-Jo never missed a chance to have a go for a goal, which paid off. Nice shooting Rex! Well done girls, we are all very proud of you. Thanks to Jo who scores for us every week and who was the lucky recipient of walking through the guard of honour to finally be able to return the scorecard to the control desk! And thanks to Olivia's dad for the lucky chair!!! Remember girls, never give up,try really hard and you will be rewarded. Thank you for turning a gloomy Saturday into rays of sunshine.
Team 13 (10) vs Valleys (26)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Adam Price • Go to the Team PageThere were more good efforts this week. Mikaylah and Andenique were very commited in defense. Tatum and Isa worked well together in the goals with Tatum our leading goal scorer. Training is paying off, you certainly played better than last week.
Team 14 (21) vs Valleys 23 (14)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Donna Holliday • Go to the Team PageWell done girls!!! A great win by all. Some great turnovers in the third quarter by Maddi, Eilie, Ricci and Georgia saw the game turn around. There was some great team work throughout whole game. Keep up the good work ! POW - Ricci
Team 15 (2) vs Q of A 9 (7)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageThe conditions were very slippery today. Bella was the star player, getting some really good intercepts and shooting lots of goals that really should have gone in. We struggled to feed the ball into the goal circle today, and the girls did a lot of stepping, probably because the court was very slippery. We are definitely improving.
Team 16 (9) vs The Gap (11)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Rachael Grieve • Go to the Team Page
What a great effort girls this week against the Gap. A nail
bitter to the end, the Gap were smothering in defence and pulled off some
really good passes, so we'll need to work on making/finding space and driving
forward on to the ball to be a little more competitive next time we play them.
You all kept trying and working so hard throughout the whole game right to the
final hooter, in defence and in bringing the ball down the court, it certainly
was a nail bitter girls and really good to see some flow in your passes.
Enjoy your sleep in this Saturday with the long weekend and see you all
training :)
Team 17 (10) vs The Gap 35 (4)
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Nicola Humphrey • Go to the Team PageWe had very slippery conditions today, but despite this, everyone played really well. It was a great game from all the girls. Maddie was the most consistent player today as she always had her eye on the ball, so she was awarded player of the match. The carnival on Sunday has made a big difference to your playing girls, well done.
Team 19 vs Valleys 29
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Tracey Churchill • Go to the Team PageTeam 21 vs St Margarets
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Ilsa Sammut • Go to the Team PageTeam 22 vs Pine Hills 23
Sat 2 Jun 2012 • Natalie Stone • Go to the Team PageA great game was played by all the girls today in the wet and slippery conditions. Today your use of shoulder passing enabled you to spread out more around the court which meant that you were able to get the ball down the court easier. There was some great defence and attack from all of you. Keep up the great work and keep on enjoying yourselves.
